In conjunction with the July 4th festivities on the Wausau City Square sponsored by the American Legion, the “Let Freedom Ring” Independence Day Celebration & Tea Party Event will be held to benefit our soldiers overseas and their families. The combined event will be held from 12-4pm on July 4, 2009 in the Wausau City Square 400 Block. Please spread the word – and read on to see how you can help make this tea party a success!

Please email us if you are willing to help publicize the “Let Freedom Ring” Tea Party by picking up posters/flyers and distributing them to businesses and individuals in the area of your choosing. Please include your name, phone number and the area (within Wausau/Central WI) that you would like to cover. This is the task in which we need the most help!

Did you sign the Grievance Scroll? If you (or your friends) have not yet signed it, local business owner Steve Smitala of the Schofield Auto Clinic in Weston continues to host the Grievance Scroll to sign and add a message to our elected leaders in Washington. The Schofield Auto Clinic is located at 5209 Schofield Avenue in Weston and is open 8am-6pm Monday-Friday. The Scroll will also be featured at the “Let Freedom Ring” Tea Party on the 4th of July.

If you own a business or live on a busy street, please consider displaying a sign to help publicize the upcoming Tea Party. Ken Reemtsma, owner of Color Vision Ltd. in Edgar has generously created and donated 150+ signs which advertise the Tea Party. Please email Randy Wokatsch (town of Marathon) to arrange to pick up a sign or drop by the Schofield Auto Clinic at 5209 Schofield Ave. in Weston to pick up a sign. Please also remember to bring your homemade signs to the “Let Freedom Ring” Tea Party! There were many signs at the Tax Day Tea Party with creative and pointed messages!
